B o o k i n g s :

We require a £50 deposit to confirm recording bookings.
We accept payments by cheque, cash and all major credit/debit cards.

T e r m s & C o n d i t i o n s :

  • Prices include sound engineer.
  • 2" tape costs are additional to session prices quoted.
  • A minimum booking of three hours is required.
  • We have a strict policy of not mixing on the same day as tracking.
  • Full payment is required at the beginning of the recording session.
  • Recordings remain the property of old blacksmiths studios until payment is received in full.

Recording at the Old Blacksmith Studios

Professional results at competitive prices:

We're experienced tracking and mix engineers with an excellent reputation for making recordings that get our clients noticed. We're friendly and always willing to go that extra mile to get the result you want, something that other studios might fall short of.

Primarily we record digitally using Steinberg Nuendo 3 but we can spit out Digidesign Pro Tools compatible files should your project require them.

If analog recording is more your cup of tea we also have a Soundcraft SCM 760 2" 24 track tape machine available that is in excellent health thanks to it's previous owners at Intimate Studios in London.

We have an excellent selection of microphones (models by Neumann, Shure, AKG, Oktava and Rode) and mic pre-amps (various models from Buzz Audio, Audient, Gyraf, Ridge Farm and Sytek) to use as a front end into our SSL Alphalink Analog Digital converters.

We have various musical equipment available for recording purposes including an Ampeg SVT 8x10 bass rig and an all valve Hammond M102 Organ and Leslie 145 cabinet!
